About Us
The Liberian Unity Movement
Fellow Liberians, we are Team “The Liberian Unity Movement” — united in our commitment to empower, uplift, and represent the vibrant Liberian community in London. Built on the principles of Unity, Progress, and Inclusion, we believe that together we can achieve far more than alone. Our mission is to foster a connected, supported, and influential community that actively shapes the future of Liberians in London and beyond.
We are more than just a team — we are your family, friends, and neighbours. We are deeply committed to listening to your voices, addressing your concerns, and delivering meaningful, tangible results that move the Liberian Community Organization forward. Every step we take is driven by a shared vision of growth, representation, and collective strength.
At LICO, we stand as a bridge, not a barrier — connecting the Liberian diaspora in London, across the UK, and globally with the institutions that shape their lives. From immigration and housing to health and safety, we help navigate complex systems so no one has to face them alone. Whether you are newly arrived or have lived here for decades, LICO is your community home — your advocate, your connector, and your voice.
“No member of our community should face the system without a voice.”
